Answers for the most common questions

If you don't see your question here, call or email our team. We're happy to help.

Do I need a referral to be seen?
Many patients are referred by other providers, and some insurance plans allow self-referral. Call us if you need help confirming.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, medication and allergy list, and any recent wound records or imaging. If you have special dressings or off-loading devices, bring those too.
How long does wound healing usually take?
Healing time depends on the wound, circulation, infection, blood sugar, and other health conditions. We'll review your case and outline realistic expectations.
How often will I need to come to clinic?
Most patients come weekly or every other week at first, then less often as the wound improves. We tailor the schedule to your progress.
Do you coordinate with my other doctors?
Yes. We share updates with your primary care provider, surgeons, vascular specialists, home health agencies, and others involved in your care.
What types of treatments do you offer?
Care may include debridement, advanced dressings, negative pressure therapy, off-loading, compression, and referrals for imaging or vascular evaluation.
How do I pay for my visit?
We accept all major insurance carriers including Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, Optum, United Healthcare, and many more. If you don't have insurance, contact us—we'll help you so you can receive the care you need.
If you develop sudden severe pain, spreading redness, fever, foul odor, or concern for a severe infection or loss of blood flow, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
